The challenge
CardMakerz serves as a comprehensive online marketplace for invitation and greeting cards, providing a variety of editable templates for different occasions, such as weddings and birthdays. Despite offering valuable services, the platform's customer journey lacked clarity, leading to potential confusion and frustration among users. The initial ordering process was cumbersome, with a need for a more streamlined approach to facilitate easier navigation and card customization.
The primary objective was to enhance the user experience by creating a more intuitive ordering process. This involved improving service discoverability, simplifying design customization, and enabling seamless artwork uploads, all contributing to a smoother transition from initial selection to final checkout.
What we built
Cmsmart collaborated with CardMakerz to revamp their entire online ordering framework. Through a thoughtful redesign, Cmsmart improved the presentation of categories and templates, ensuring users could easily navigate the vast array of options available. The enhanced online editor was positioned effectively to allow customers to customize templates directly in their browser without needing external software.
The implementation included several phases: analyzing the existing customer journey, collaborating closely with the CardMakerz team to identify pain points, and deploying a revamped user interface. The new structure was rigorously tested to ensure it met customer expectations and improved overall usability.
The improved ordering flow effectively integrates into CardMakerz's existing workflow, allowing users to select templates, customize them, and proceed directly to download or print requests.
